مک‌بوک یکی از سری لپ تاپ‌های تولیدی شرکت اپل بوده است. مک‌بوک که در ماه مه سال ۲۰۰۶ توسط شرکت اپل معرفی شد، در واقع جایگزینی برای لپ تاپ‌های iBook G4 و لپ تاپ‌های ۱۲ اینچی سری پاوربوک همین شرکت بود که وجه تشابه آن‌ها استفاده از پردازنده‌های ساخت شرکت اینتل می‌باشد. شرکت اپل، مک‌بوک را در راستای اهدافی مانند آموزش و فروش در بازارهای مصرف ارائه نمود و در اکتبر سال ۲۰۰۸ با معرفی این برند بعنوان یکی از پرفروشترین لپ تاپ‌های آمریکا توسط گروه ان‌پی‌دی، شرکت اپل به یکی از عمده اهداف خود در ارائه این سری از لپ تاپ‌ها نایل شد.
